A Great Fun Little Bike Which Is Like A Moped On Steroids

This is my add on to the regular way to adjust the chain. I guess I am fortunate that I have a bike lift which makes this a lot easier. One thing I have found is that when I originally adjusted the chain, after I tightened the axle nut some of the time the chain would be out of adjustment. To fix this I put a tie down strap between the wheels which keeps tension on the adjusters so they do not move when you tighten the nut. I have attached pictures of how I check the alignment. I use a steel straight edge against the sprocket and then look to see where it aligns with the chain, it should be aligned with the inner edge of the outer side of the chain, move the adjusters to correct the alignment. Its probably best to check the alignment first and then adjust the chain free play as described in the manual, move the adjusters an equal amount..
